Splish Splash

This has been a GREAT weekend!!! We had Kacey's birthday party yesterday at our neighborhood pool and it was PERFECT. She has a really great group of friends in our neighborhood....the pool is BEAUTIFUL.....and the weather couldn't have been better!!!!!!!!

She wanted an Ariel theme...so we ran with it! I think that the adults had just as much fun as the

kids!!!!

SO CUTE!!!! I still can NOT believe that my little girl is FIVE!!!!!!

Kacey requested an "Ariel Wedding cake". When I showed her this cake she was SOOOO excited and gave me a big hug..........but informed me that this isn't a wedding cake because Prince Eric is not on the top of the cake with her. HA! Guess next year I better listen a little better before spending HOURS making and planning the cake!

BFF'S.....Kacey and Sydney. (yes, they call themselves "BFF'S")

IT WAS THE PERFECT DAY TO CELEBRATE MY LITTLE BABY GIRL'S 5TH BIRTHDAY!!!!

Traditions make it special

Yesterday we had a GREAT time celebrating Kacey's 5th birthday!!! It was A VERY BUSY DAY!!!
I took Kacey and Collin to Hollywood Studios (they changed the name for some odd reason...used to be MGM) ALL by myself. We had a GREAT TIME but it was VERY hot, and VERY hard to get on that trolley with a HEAVY double stroller.....2 kids......and loads of their souvenirs. BUT I DID IT! They had a HUGE deal of her birthday and it was SOOO great to watch!!! We have season passes, so they gave her a gift card worth the price of a ticket (I believe it was $70) that she could spend on ANYTHING she wanted! It was so special! She said it must be a gift from Ariel and Mickey Mouse!

Such a GREAT DAY!!!! As I was sweating and SOOO stressed about getting all of our gear on the trolley to the parking lot she looked at me and said, "Thank you so much for making this day so Special Mom! I had the BEST birthday ever!" I ALMOST CRIED RIGHT THEN AND THERE

Here are some pictures that we have made a tradition. My sister bought this super cute "birthday princess" hat the day Kacey was born, and we have taken a picture of her in it every year since she was born. SO SPECIAL!

Five Years!!!

I have been thinking back to 5 years ago alllllllllll day! See....5 years ago I was induced with my little baby girl!!!! I was SO nervous, SO ready, and SO big!

I was in labor for 23 hours (yes, that is NOT a typo.......it was 23 HOURS) and received the BEST gift a girl could EVER ask for!!! July 22nd WAS going to be Kacey's birthday........BUT she had other plans. She patiently waited inside me of the ENTIRE day and came on the 23rd of July.
Every year on the 22nd I look back at the old videos of her birth and all that lead up to the BIG event. I am SHOCKED that it has been a full FIVE years!!!! How on earth am I the mother of a Five year old?!?!

I have a ton to do today to get ready for our big SURPRISE trip to Disney tomorrow. We have season passes, so if you go on your birthday (after signing up online for the 2009 Birthday event) they will give her an $80 gift certificate to buy WHATEVER she wants inside of the park. I am especially excited about this because EVERY single time we go there she BEGS me for this $80 Ariel Wedding dress. Tomorrow.....she will be getting this dress! (although with my luck she will buy something else and then continue to beg me for that darn dress!)

I look back to five years ago with fond (and painful) memories............but after seeing this picture of my stomach I am grateful to be sitting here looking back on the big event. (and big stomach)

Eye Candy

I have been sewing ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL DAY!!!!! I was LUCKY enough to have my WONDERFUL husband take the kids to go see a movie this morning so that I could lock myself upstairs in my sewing room and get down to business!!!!! I am officially caught up!!!! (for the most part) :)

Here are a few of the new additions to my shop!

This Burlap pillow case was a special order that I received....so I decided to make 2 extra to add to my shop! It looks so great surrounded with all the other white pillows!!!!

I love pillows on my bed....the more the merrier!!!!!!! So I have made the crown in a 12x12 pillow case so that you can fit JUST ONE MORE pillow in the last little nook on your bed! Actually, I can make ANY of the designs in my shop in a 12x12 if you are interested. :)

I also needed a break from my pillow madness today.....and made a few of the Queen Bee Shopping totes. I LOVE these!!!!!

ENJOY!!!!!

ps- Yes I did mention in my last post that I was adding new RUFFLE pillow cases.....my camera didn't take that great of pictures. (meaning, I am not that great of a photographer) so I am going to go back at it again tomorrow! You can get a sneak peek of it behind the Burlap pillow! :)

Sunday Tease

Did you say that you liked ruffles?
And pillow cases?

I am busy working in my "office" on some new goodies today!!!!!!!!!! I will be posting pics this evening of my new little babies. :) (yes, I claim them as my children because I spend so much time with them)

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Is this a joke?!

I LOVE the idea of having a chandelier hanging over my bathtub....BUT there isn't a plug. I have settled on the idea of a candle chandelier, secretly knowing that I will probably NEVER light the candles. It is all for looks!

So I was taking my "break" when my husband got home from work and was searching online. I came across these two candle chandeliers from amazon. It seriously MUST be a joke! Are they made of wax?! Check these out and check out the prices on them!

This is either all a joke....or I just found a serious DEAL! :)

Oh so Sweet Invites!!!

I have been trying to plan my daughter's 5th birthday party!!!! 5 just so happens to be my FAVORITE number, my LUCKY number, and I wore it on my back on almost every soccer team I ever played on. I also can't believe that I am the mother of an almost 5 year old! Where on earth does the time go?!?~
First I should explain, that when I say "I am planning" the party.....what I really mean is "my daughter is picking everything out and planning for the party". :) She is so cute!!!
I searched on Etsy (of course) for any mermaid invites. I wanted to be able to download the cards because I love to have extras for baby books (which I honestly haven't done much with....but I do have a box FULL of goodies), future school projects (yes, I think WAY too much), and to send to grandparents and family even though they can't come! Upon my search I came across the cutest site!!!!! VANILLAINK! I not only purchased this SUPER SWEET mermaid invite.....but I am already thinking about next years invites. :)

Check out her goodies....
I love how sweet and girlie they are, without being "TOO MUCH". (There are boys being invited to this party you know! :)
This card would be really cute for ANY little princess!!!! love it!
ENJOY!!!!!! HAPPY SHOPPING!!!! XOXO

Red...White...and Blue

We are trying to stay up and Celebrate the 4th of July this year....but it isn't easy to be pumped up! My husband's Great Grandmother passed away and he is in Virginia while the 2 kids, 2 dogs and I are back and fourth at my parents home. I am behind on orders....behind on laundry....behind on sleep. BUT...today is going to be GREAT! We are celebrating at my parent's backyard pool.....going to our local fair.......and we ARE going to enjoy the day! :)

I was telling my kid's that we are making a flag cake to celebrate America's Birthday.....and Kacey asked me What America wants for her birthday! Then she asked, "I wonder if she likes Princesses....we should go to Target." I almost drove off of the road!

So I hope that you all are enjoying the holiday!!!!!! We will be home later tonight and trying to begin my "to do list" that never seems to go away. :)
xoxo
