I NEED this....OAR else. :)

I have been dreaming of a pair of turquoise vintage oars for my house! I just LOVE them! I have seen a few for sale on etsy and they make me SOOOO happy to visit! Last night I decided to check out craigslist and see if I could find any that I could refinish myself...............AND WAHOOOOOO!!!! I FOUND THESE!!!!!!!!!! FOR $20 FOR THE PAIR!!!!! And since I generally don't ask for a lower price.....I am happy with paying full price for these babies! (considering I almost got to the point where I paid $100 for a pair!)

I have emailed the seller and am actually stalking him at this point. I would LOVE to have these by the weekend so that I can finish them up and get these bad boys finished!!!!!!!!!!

Proud Mama!

I have the past week taking care of my little kiddos! I HATE seeing them sick! They are SUCH troopers because we have been stuck in the house and have watched EVERY movie that we own, painted water color pictures daily, played disney bingo about 3 times a day, and I have made frozen drink pops non-stop! I hope that all this rest and calmness around here will help them get better ASAP!

I have been soooo excited lately looking at some of my FAVE blogs and seeing how they have displayed their very own Sa-Sea Boutique pillow cases! It makes me smile!!!!!

Life in the Fun Lane is a SUPER amazing blog!!!!! She just opened up her very own shop.....and I have been seriously wishing I lived in Canada so that I could snag some of her AMAZING furniture! Check it out!!!!!!!!!! WHITE BERRY REINVENTED...trust me your jaw will drop at her amazing talent!!!

I also met a new blogger...Diane and was SO excited when she posted pics of her new pillow cases!!!! She is SOOO sweet and has great style!

Dinner's Done!

I am NOT a fan of cooking dinner. I AM fan of watching cooking shows....and eating dinner cooked by others! It isn't that I don't enjoy the kitchen, or that I couldn't whip something up. It is that I always get stuck in a routine of cooking the same things over and over again.

I do the research and look online for recipes and new ideas....and the second I see an ingredient that I don't generally buy or have at home...I change my mind.

BUT.... this past week I went on a "girls date" with my mom!!!! We went to an amazing place in Tampa...DINNER DONE. It is like someone could read my mind and made a place JUST for me!!!!

I made 4 of the most amazing meals! I prepared it all there.........wrapped it up (seriously one of their "meals" includes 6 large pieces of chicken....so that is 3 meals for my husband and I).......labeled them.......and brought them home to freeze! It is soooo nice to just have to worry about a side item at dinner time! It is like having a TV dinner every night... only I made them....and they are healthy!!

I should mention our FAVE part was that they served wine and cheese with crackers while we cooked AND someone cleans up after you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am finally the housewife I have always wanted to be. :)

Craft Room Feaver

I am in the process of organizing/redoing/dreaming my craft/sewing/guest room. I am thinking about painting the walls a soft gray....with black, light pink, and light turq accents. I have also been thinking about a LONG work table with storage below and cabinets above the table to keep things organized while I can spread out my screen printing screens and machine on the table.....BUT this picture really has me rethinking things!

I ALWAYS SEE THE AMAZING FINDS THAT EVERYONE GETS ON THEIR WEEKEND FLEA MARKET TRIPS AND I JUST HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT AROUND HERE! SO NOW I GET THE BENEFIT OF THE AMAZING BUYS.....ONCE TARA GETS THEM AT HER AMAZING FLEA MARKETS! PERFECT COMBO!!!!!!


I PURCHASED A FEW GOODIES AT TARASVINTAGEKITCHEN LAST WEEK AND I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THE MAILMAN DELIVERS THEM!!!! (CAN'T POST PICS BECAUSE ONE IS A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY MOM....AND SHE WOULD FOR SURE PEEK!)





THIS WEEKEND I WAS READING HER BLOG AND SAW THE MOST AMAZING JEWELRY TRAY!!!!!! I EVEN SET AN ALARM ON MY PHONE TO REMIND ME TO BUY IT THIS MORNING ON HER GRAND OPENING OF HER NEWEST SHOP BLONDIENSC!!!!!

I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!!! GO CHECK THEM OUT AND PICK UP YOUR OWN LITTLE PIECE OF HISTORY!

GOLD IS THE NEW BLACK.

I know that fall is just around the corner. (so I hear....no signs of it here in Florida) I am NOT ready to say goodbye to summer just yet! I love it! I love wearing my kids out at the pool.....because believe it or not....the pool does get cold here in the winter.

BUT I also know that I LOVE fall decorations!!!!! I love the colors! The smells! The feel of it! I grew up in Virginia and I remember that every year on the first day of school....it just seemed to get a little chilly outside. I miss that feeling!

Today I was thinking about fall and wanted to post pictures and add some new "FALL-ish" pillow cases to my shop. I am not about to bring out the Halloween ones that I have been working on JUST yet, but fall is a good start. :)

Did you know that Gold is the new Black?! I did! Just look at these pictures of the gold ink on the tea stained fabric! How could you go any other way. :)
