Red...White...and Blue

We are trying to stay up and Celebrate the 4th of July this year....but it isn't easy to be pumped up! My husband's Great Grandmother passed away and he is in Virginia while the 2 kids, 2 dogs and I are back and fourth at my parents home. I am behind on orders....behind on laundry....behind on sleep. BUT...today is going to be GREAT! We are celebrating at my parent's backyard pool.....going to our local fair.......and we ARE going to enjoy the day! :)

I was telling my kid's that we are making a flag cake to celebrate America's Birthday.....and Kacey asked me What America wants for her birthday! Then she asked, "I wonder if she likes Princesses....we should go to Target." I almost drove off of the road!

So I hope that you all are enjoying the holiday!!!!!! We will be home later tonight and trying to begin my "to do list" that never seems to go away. :)

Awww - how sweet she sounds!! Kids say the darndest things!!

Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about hubby's great grandmother. Keep your chin up.

We are going to try to catch some fireworks tonight - even my 19 year old daughter - but only because all her friends are out of town and she doesn't have anything better to do.

Have fun and be safe -
