Beachin

We went away this past weekend to relax on the beach! I LOVE absolutely everything about the beach, and would rather be there than anywhere at all! There is just something about the salty air and the sounds of the waves that just feel so calming!

The four of us all went on am early morning long walk on the beach and picked up some shells.....saw 13 stingrays (i was sooo upset I didn't bring my camera on the walk!).....talked about how great it would be to have a little place right on the beach.......and just enjoyed each other's company!

We had such a great time that I am picking Kacey up from school tomorrow.....and heading back down to make a few sand castles! My hubby will meet us for dinner afterwards......and I can't wait for our mini mid-week vacation!

Tea With The Queen!

This past weekend was GREAT!

My sister and her family drove down from Virginia and we were able to spend a really great Easter Weekend together!!!!!

My mom planned a girl's Tea Party for all of the girls! She got the girl's dresses that match their dolls....called ahead to the Tea Room and had them set up a "Princess Tea Party", and we were all set!

It was GREAT!

I think their favorite part was drinking from really big tea glasses! They each had about 4 cups of pink lemonade!

There was a special table set up for their dolls! There was also a little tea set that they set out for their "girl's" to have snacks and tea as well!

Love them!

This book, "Tea for Ruby" is SOOOOO cute!!!!!!!!

It is all about a surprise Tea party with her grandma, "The Queen".

Collin and my dad had other plans! They spent the afternoon fishing!

They didn't catch anything at all.............but I am convinced Collin just likes to go for the lunch that I pack them!

I need a drink!!!!

I LOVE how my wedding was, and all of the little touches that were so personal!

BUT.....

I wish that I could go back and redo some things! I would plan my whole wedding around etsy finds!

Here is a little drink recipe that I got from CELEBRATE magazine!!!!!! I can't wait to make my "test batch" before Easter dinner! (of course I am going to test it prior to serving! :)

Citrus White Wine Spritzer
2 (1/4-inch-thick) lemon slices
2 (1/4-inch-thick) lime slices
ice cubes
1/2 cup Penot Grigio or other white wine
1/4 cup Lemon-Lime-Flavored seltzer water

In a large stemmed glass, arrange lemon slices and lime slices between ice cubes to fill the glass. pour wine and setzer water over fruit and ice. Stir, and serve immediately!

Spring is in the Air!!!!

Today is absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside!!!! You might think it is always beautiful in Tampa, but we have had a VERY cold winter! I mean, VERY cold!

This beautiful weather is making me feel like I need to get going in my backyard! We recently had it fenced in, so now I really feel like it is my little oasis!

I received an email today with some of the new outdoor goodies at Ikea, and I was really impressed with a few things! This year, I think I need a few lounge chairs!

If you do not own the Latte Bowls from Anthropology.....You Should Go Get Some!!!!!! I have them in turquoise and they make EVERYTHING taste better!!!!!

My morning yogurt with granola tastes better because of them!
My afternoon ice cream tastes better because of them!
My chicken stir fry I had for dinner tasted better because of them!
My after dinner ice cream tastes better because of them!

I owe it all to these bowls!

I only have two of them and I wash them several times a day because they are the only bowls I want to use! I think it is time I rewarded myself with a set of 6!!!!!

I mean, I owe it to my ice cream!

New Additions

I have been CRAZY BUSY lately!!!!! Between my kids starting soccer, the time change, my husband getting in a car accident the EXACT day that we wrote our LAST car payment (not his fault, and he is okay...car....not so much!), St. Patrick's day party....and life...I feel like I am running around in circles!!!!!

HOLD THIS...

I went on a fun date with some friends and their kiddos today and stopped off at a few stores! I am in SERIOUS need of some new spring clothes!

Here is the jacket that is on HOLD at Forever 21 for me! Yes, I had to put it on HOLD because their system broke down and no purchases could be made for an hour!

Most people might take that as a sign to just put the clothes back and walk away......NOT me!

I am heading back as soon as Collin is up from his nap! Sometimes you just have days where a nice new jacket makes you feel better!
