We had actually been saving for a custom closet in our master bedroom closet (which is TOTALLY needed), but have kind of convinced ourselves to wait it out a bit.
Those darn closets are SOOOO expensive, and I was kind of feeling bad that there were soooo many things we wanted to do in our actual living space that it felt funny to spend over $1k on a closet!!!!!
So I "convinced" my hubby that we should get this couch......as well as a billy bookcase from Ikea to store all of my shoes and purses (because they have taken over the entire closet at this point) and then wait until we feel better about spending that much money on our closet that nobody will see.
So today is a happy day in my world!!!!!!!!!!!! pictures to come!!!!!

I know how you feel! I wanted the same and somehow SCORED the Ektorp in tan from craigslist after begging for it in white for so long! Now I will wait a little while to get the white slipcover!!
I love that sofa! Yay! Enjoy!

Yay!! I feel the same way about closets. And what do you type into craigslist to find such great furniture, all I find are particle board disasters....
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! I love those IKEA chairs and couches, Etkorp(?) right?? I actually just convinced my husband one would look great in our front room with a bunch of fun pillows. So I hope to bring one home soon as well! Hope you are having a great 2010!

Just discovered your blog and love it!
Regarding the custom closet, I wanted to redo my master bedroom closet and had a few people come in to give me estimates. The lowest estimate I received was $4200 and there was NO WAY I was going to spend that kind of money on a closet. So, after some research and measuring I went to Home Depot and bought some of their closet pieces and we did it ourselves for roughly $500 and I love it! Lowes also has some pretty great closet pieces too.
Congrats! Shea has this one and lovessss it!
