BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!

I LOVE birthdays!!!! Especially my kid's birthdays!!!! I try my BEST to go ALLLL out and make them feel special and know just how special they are!






Kacey's 5th birthday is coming up at the end of July and she has told me that she wants an Ariel Pool party this year!!!! (not to mention she wants to have an all girl's tea party at her house as well, YIKES!)






I am in search of a cute birthday cake idea. I LOVE making their cakes. I am not a baker, but I LOVE to decorate the cakes. I have gotten better over the years and am starting to feel pressure. :)





This is Kacey's 1st birthday cake! She loved the beach, so I wanted to make it a Nemo themed party. :)


This picture just melts my heart! This was Kacey after her first piece of Birthday Cake. WOW...TIME FLIES BY!!!!!!


I must have been in a big rush for this party! (actually, I was pregnant with Collin so I probably just wanted to get it over with so I didn't have to look at it any longer!) She had a JoJo the Clown Circus Party. ;)





Kacey's 3rd Birthday party was Cinderella. I worked SOOO hard on this Cinderella cake that at the last min I made cupcakes for her friends to eat because I didn't want to cut it! ha!
This was probably my FAVORITE cake yet! I used the Williams Sonoma Pumpkin Pan and then went to town to make it into a carriage. Kacey was SOO surprised. (I never show them their cakes until it is time to eat it!)
We didn't actually have a party last year because we took her to Disney world and had dinner with Cinderella!!! (with her Best Friend, they both have birthday's in July)




This was Collin's Car "cupcakes". Kacey and I decorated them with their Halloween Candy. (that is a GREAT way to get the candy out of the house!!!)







Collin wanted a Baseball Themed 2nd Birthday Party! SOOO cute! I made him a jersey with his name and the number 2 on it! We set up a Concession stand and served all baseball style foods. It was REALLY cute!





Now.....what on earth should I do for an Ariel Party!!!! HELP!!!

Chandelier LOVE

I have been wanting to make a Chandelier pillow case for a while now (one other than the bird chandelier already in my shop) ....and this weekend I did it! :)

Here are a few of the inspirations that I am slightly in love with at the moment. (saying "slightly" only because I can't be TOO in love with them when I have nowhere in my house to put them!)

The Chloe Chandelier. I LOVE the pink tear drop crystals hanging!!! This alone might make me climb into the attic and wire my daughter's room for a chandelier!

Again, these hanging crystals are soo pretty!!!!

Both of these are from Pottery Barn Kids! I love their chandeliers and they have much lower pricing than expected!

Here is a picture of the newly screen printed pillow case that I JUST added to MY SHOP. I love how it turned out (but the picture.....well let's just say my camera is still on it's way out and I had to take this with my blackberry) !

Eye Candy

I have been busy working on some NEW pillow cases!!!!! New Colors, New Styles...new new new! Now....I want to share them with all of you.....AND MY CAMERA CRASHED! And by saying, "crashed" I mean, I dropped it. :(

So for now I am going to leave you with some eye candy!!!! Some amazing pictures that make me happy and make me want to go buy a lotto ticket so that I can finish my house EXACTLY like them!!! I know I could check on craigs list and find some amazing redo projects.....but they are always sold when I get up the nerve to call. And for yard sales......well.....we all know that my yard sale experience ended in me having a new DOG! :)

This little girl is sooo cute!!! The bench, pictures, walls....love it all!!!!!! I can only imagine she is waiting patiently for her parents. (although, kind of looks like a good "time out spot"...so I am not sure. :)

I know that I have NO business wanting a fireplace in Florida. (esp in the summer!) but I just like the feel of it!!! (not the heat of it...but the feeling it gives you just looking at it)

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's day to my AMAZING husband! He is the greatest dad I could EVER ask for for our kids!!! He is so calm, and patient, and loving that it melts my heart just watching him with our kids!!!
We had a GREAT DAY at my parents house just hanging out in the pool (it was A VERY hot Florida day!) and loved EVERY second of it!!!

And Happy Father's day to MY SUPER dad!!!!! He is a GREAT dad and grampy! Watching him with my kids and my niece just makes me so happy!

Under The Weather

I have been fighting a sinus infection for a few days....and last night the flu bug got my daughter, Kacey. Gotta love how you all of a sudden feel a bit better when you need to take care of your babies!

We are enjoying a rainy evening all snuggled up on the couch wishing we were feeling better!!!

Beautiful Doll!!!

This weekend was my 4 (almost 5) year old daughter's second ballet recital! SHE WAS AMAZING!!! Her class danced to "Beautiful Doll" and she didn't miss a beat! I loved EVERY second of her performance and can not believe how fast she is growing up! (can't say that I enjoyed the other 5 hours of performances....but hers made it all worth it!!!)

My BEAUTIFUL DOLL is growing up SOOO fast!!!!

Kacey and her BFF Sydney were sooo cute! Kacey is a perfectionist and prim and proper out on stage....and Sydney was BREAKING IT DOWN! They did GREAT!

My Love For Spray Paint Continues...

I have been having the BEST time reading all of the comments for the BIG GIVEAWAY!!! This is sooo much fun!!!!!!

My Blackberry is crashing on me...so every time I check my blog is like Christmas!!! (actually more like Valentines day with all of those little notes your friends would put in your "mailbox"...but anyways)

I posted a few weeks ago about my AMAZING purchase from Ikea! This was all my sister's idea, and I ran with it!!! Combining my love of BIG fancy frames and my new found love of Spray Paint....I couldn't go wrong!!!!

It all started with this frame from Ikea. (priced under $30)

I removed the glass and sprayed it with "ballet slipper" pink from Michaels.

I couldn't stand waiting any longer, so I just painted (with chalk board paint) the cardboard backing that the frame came with. I will probably add a thicker piece down the road...but I wanted this up on the wall in my "oh so Sa-Sea Sewing/Guest room"!

I am in love with the outcome!!! This is not where it will stay once the room is finished...but it is a good start!!!! Please excuse the writing....not very easy writing with HUGE sidewalk chalk! note to self: Buy normal sized chalk!!!

Somebody Stop Me!!

I have had a slight obsession with blue/green ANYTHING for a while now. But lately it has gotten out of hand! If I find something in this amazing color....I automatically want it! I mean, I found a dog this weekend with crystal blue eyes and HAD to have her! This is getting bad!!!

(like Cali but all the girls in our family start with K and boys with C.....so we had to switch it up) I was actually going to name my son that if he had been a girl! BUT my next door neighbor (who rescued the sister of Kali) decided to name her dog Shelby from the suggestions! LOVE IT!!!!

Yard Sale....Shmard Sale!!!!

So I have been reading about all the great finds people are getting at Yard Sales!!! Our neighborhood had a yard sale this morning and I got a HUGE purchase!!!! One of those purchases that you aren't really sure if you were in a daze or what came over you. :)

BUT WE GOT A DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kacey's Preschool teacher was at a local shelter getting info on shots....and someone came in with 2 Catahoula 8 week old baby girls!!!! She rescued them (because it was a kill shelter....AWFUL!) and of course we had to go take a look.

I am NOT good at making big decisions......so I called my husband to come check them out. (KNOWING he wouldn't want to leave without one!) This little face is what we saw and fell in love with!!!!

A DOG WITH BLUE EYES LIKE HIM AND OUR KIDS............YES PLEASE!!!!!

It is just like we brought home a new little baby. Our house is calm and she has been sleeping all day.

Our other dog, Roxy, (a Jack Russel) is celebrating her 8th birthday today!!!!!! We had already gotten a princess balloon, dog ice cream, cookies, and each one of the kids picked out a toy for her big day.....AND THEN WE GOT HER A NEW BABY SISTER.

As far as a name goes............WE ARE CLUELESS!!!!!! Chad doesn't like "people names", and I want a beach dog name. Suggestions?????!!!!!
